Hey, I'm Z — the artist behind ZTheArtust. U stands for Unique, because I never had one art style and I finally stopped trying to.

I'm 20, a Black American artist learning to embrace my identity through my work. A lot of my pieces are about representation we don't see enough of — afros in the sun, locs in a Tuscan field, bald beauties with sunflowers — but I also just love to draw. Period. All skin tones, all hair textures, landscapes, animals, chibi, anime-style, you name it.

My work is painterly, soft, and sun-kissed. Think golden hour in a sunflower field in Tuscany. That's my happy place, so that's what I paint.

This shop started as my Sunflower Collection and it's growing into many more collections — exploring all the different ways our hair and culture can look beautiful and powerful.

Everything starts as my own drawing in ibisPaint (with all the struggles and lineart-last chaos that comes with it lol) and then I enhance it for high-quality prints.

I also do custom commissions — if you have a vision, let's make it real.
